what you have to remember about Finland at the time was that it barely existed as a functioning state, whatever resembled an army on the white side was just a group of burgher fighters mostly, some farmers, deputised and under the control of Vaasa. Those who made incursions into Russia were nearly fully independent private military groups over which Mannerheim and the whites had quite little control (of course they were more than happy to take over Petsamo once that came about) and despite some initial quite wild successes they failed in basically all but one case. The Scandinavian government does not have the motivation or patience to fight alongside some relatively fringe nationalists who quite soon become notorious for their drunken depravity and foul actions against the local populations, sometimes turning into basically just a mafia in the cities they passed through. What the Scandinavian government wants for Finland (and Livonia for that matter) is a stable and loyal, bordering on subservient, neighbouring kingdom that's going to be a stable economic partner. Continued conflict with Russia or an empowered group of independent nationalist and, since the ranks gained in this fighting wasn't recognised by any state since it wasn't done in a proper military, often very angry and poorly functioning military men is very detrimental to those goals.

No, historically merging the languages was only something thought possible and proposed by the most radical of Scandinavists. The imperial government in theory accepts all major Scandinavian languages but Swedish very much dominates and Danes and Norwegians working there have taken to speaking their languages in a way that makes them easier for Swedes to understand. The colonial administrations are basically exclusively Swedish speaking except for Greenland and the west indies (where French and English dominate). Then finally in each constituent kingdom the national language dominates.

Perhaps a small one, they're enemies of the Dutch which is a bad start, most of the already existing Dano-Norwegian and Swedish colonial empires were probably taken quite quickly by the Dutch during this unification war. But once the Dutch aren't as annoyed their trading interests in the baltic are hurt it'll be much easier for the Arch Kingdom to say buy some islands maybe.

Really cool map and im a sucker for a united north, with gothenburg as capital being the cherry on top. I feel it would be more realistic if charles x got to live longer and establish good relationships with the danish nobility and foreign powers, then hand over the reins to an adult charles xi, instead of a frail regency system.

Charles Gustav was living extremely unhealthily and was going to die quite soon regardless of if he won the war or not and without any real power who both could challenge Swedish dominion over Denmark and Norway and would think it's worth it it'd honestly just be a really bad idea to rise up in a rebellion anyway. The regency councils were all made up of local collaborators in Denmark and Norway anyway (except for the Queen of course)
