Local struggles as a Rouge player

I have been going to locals for a year and I have never felt like there isn't anything I can do with my decks. I went to 3 locals since mitsurugi was released and I have gone 1-3 with thunder bystial (won because I didn't have a opponent) , 1-2 ( resonator bystial) won last match against a dark magician , 0-3 ( virtual world) didn't win anything :((.

It is extremely hard to go to a local without a fiendsmith engine or ryzeal/maliss deck. Seems almost like the game is lost without it even began. They never brick and always have a play. The players that pilot the decks are also really good. It's not like I don't know where to hit them to try to slow them down or I don't know how to pilot my deck.

Do you guys feel like Rouge is dead? I think there are 5 decks that can play on the same level , 2-3 that are close and everything else is just not worth to play.
