calisthenics or gym?

ive been doing calisthenics for about 2 months now, and i cant seem to see any progress when it comes to looks. although i did get hella stronger cuz i used not to be able to do a single pull-up and now i can maybe do 5, i still cant see any progress look-wise. i still look the same as i did before. so when it comes to looks and growing my muscles out, is the gym maybe a better option?
