Weird thing I've noticed in stores
Part time wheelchair user here - I have psoriatic arthritis, an autoimmune disease, so during remission I am fairly functional and during flares I'm totally reliant on my power chair.
My recent flare up has given weight to my (admittedly very weird!) hypothesis that I get asked for ID for age restricted products way less when I'm using my chair than when I'm walking or using a cane. Thinking about it in theory I'd have thought it'd be the other way around with infantilisation of wheelchair users, but it seems almost guaranteed that if I'm walking I'll get asked for ID, and if I'm using the chair I won't!
I know this is so niche and random but I just thought I'd ask if anyone either has a similar experience or has any bright ideas as to why!
