Washington Wizards Trade Deadline Summary

Exciting trade season to say the least. It feels like the Wizards were involved in a majority of the total transactions that occurred before the deadline. Here's a handy guide to know who was traded where and what the final pick situation is looking like. Overall I think Dawkins did a great job. There are so many moving parts to all these trades that I respect his ability to keep track of everything under a very tight deadline.

Kyle Kuzma PF Milwaukee Bucks $23,522,727

Picks acquired by the Wizards:

  • Memphis Grizzlies 2025 1st round pick

  • Oklahoma City 2026 1st round pick (*Conditions: WSH will receive the least favorable of OKC, LAC and HOU [top 4 protected])

  • Milwaukee Bucks 2028 1st round pick swap (currently in swap with the Portland Trailblazers from the Dame trade, so I believe we get second most favorable swap rights)

  • Denver Nuggets 2028 2nd round pick (protected 31-33)

  • Sacramento Kings 2029 2nd round pick

Picks traded by the Wizards:

  • To Milwaukee Bucks: Washington Wizards 2025 2nd round pick (Receive more favorable Washington 2025 2nd round pick)

  • To Philadelphia 76ers: Golden State Warriors 2027 2nd, Golden State Warriors 2028 2nd, Phoenix Suns 2030 2nd, Washington Wizards 2030 2nd

  • To Memphis Grizzlies: Two 2nd round picks (currently unreported specifics)

Final cap hit result: $170,116,087. The Wizards are currently $697,913 under the luxury tax. Very good bit of business by Winger and Dawkins to get this all done without spending unnecessary money on a tanking team, in my opinion.

Let me know if I missed anything, but I believe this is it.
