Monitoring for ThyCa PT vs. TT

Hi new to reddit so please be gentle. I understand there are rules to this forum but I am still learning them (as are others who are feeling alone in their situation and just looking to this forum for help :) Thanks to those who understand. So I'll try to make this post again.

Still weighing options for PT vs. TT surgery. Left sided nodule measuring 1.7 cm >95% positive for PTC with Thyroseq. Overall function of thyroid trending towards hypo but no lymph node involvement and right side clear as well.

Know common question that comes up is how reoccurrence is monitored or managed but did not know in general differences for this with PT vs. TT. Just looking for insights from others experiences and what helped you all make decision to pursue PT vs. TT. Thanks for those who reply :)
