Recurrent thyroid cancer

A few weeks I was diagnosed with a recurrence of thyroid cancer, 7.5 years after my original diagnosis. I had a total thyroidectomy. Recently ive had pain and found a tumor on my left parathyroid.

Got my pet scan results yesterday and was elated to find out that the cancer has not spread anywhere else. I saw my surgeon today and was told that because of the location of my tumor, I will permanently lose my voice, as the laryngeal nerve will be impacted.

I have zero options. The tumor needs to be removed. The tumor can only be removed through surgery. My mind is racing and I'm in a panic. I have no idea what the outcome could be. I've read a lot of horror stories and hoping I will be ok, but I really don't know what to think right now.
