Small rant: Lauryn’s weight loss journey

I generally like their podcast and find it mostly informative, albeit some guests I take with a grain of salt and don’t listen to any of their political guests episodes as I don’t agree with their politics.

HOWEVER, the way Lauryn presents her postpartum weight-loss as mainly being due to weightlifting and eating bowls of meat is wild.

On one of the latest episodes with Gary Brecka at around the 48 min mark she says the reason she was even able to start losing the baby weight was due to thyroid medicine and that she wasn’t able to lose weight without it. And yet she rarely, if ever, mentions it as part of her journey…

Similarly, the airsculpt. It’s not just a ‘sculpting’ tool, babe it’s lipo and it makes a huge difference! For example her arms, she really never used to show her arms and now it looks as if she has really sculpted shoulders which, sure, some of it is from working out but it is very largely due to the airsculp (for example, look at any of the Kardashians arms - all weirdly sculpted but barely lift any weights).

I know she’s not hiding it and she’s shared that she’s done/taken these things in general, but she rarely mentions it whenever she’s asked or brings up her postpartum body/routine and in my opinion, really downplays their overall role in how she looks today.

Again, while I generally like the podcast, I don’t love this aspect of how Lauryn presents her postpartum journey and find it pretty misleading.

I just feel like there should be more upfront honestly, especially on platforms like Instagram.
