Long distance boyfriend sends pic of a mutual friend, then proceeds to tell me they slept together
For context, we were talking on the phone when he sent the picture and the texts came after I hung up on him.
We dated for 4 years, went through a rough patch, broke up, now we’ve been back together for a few months. His job sent him temporarily to a very scenic state over a thousand miles away, so he’s had friends and family fly out to visit him..including myself who just paid to fly out only weeks before this.
He told me that his group of friends were supposed to fly out, but it ended up not working out and the only person that can make it is our female mutual friend. He assured me nothing would happen, she has a bf, she’s like a little sister, even made me feel silly for thinking something would. I was delulu enough to believe it.
The morning after she leaves he calls me, he’s talking super casually, not addressing the elephant in the room (how the trip went). I grew impatient and knew deep down something was wrong, so I asked how it went. He goes on about oh it was good, we did this and that. She even got this tattoo on her foot! And then just drops that something did happen. They hooked up not even 24 hours into the trip.
Needless to say I’m heartbroken and feel sick to my stomach but I never thought it would end this way lol
