Anxiety help!

Hi Shiba friends!

My Shiba (4F) has all of a sudden developed anxiety/panic attacks, and I need advice. I got her as a puppy in October 2020, but she was very well socialized and loves dogs and people (she loooves going to daycare). I work from home, and she mostly relaxes all day - looks out the window, naps, plays.

On Monday of this week, she started shaking like she was shivering and panting. That lasted around 2 hours but went away and she was fine. On Tuesday, she peed on the couch (which she has had a true accident maybe twice in her life) in the morning and shivered and panted again in the afternoon. We went to the vet for reassurance/discussion. Upon exam, everything looked good - no fever, no tenderness, no concerns about UTI or other conditions. He suggested we try CBD oil. On Wednesday, her panting started again. I tried a calming treat (I was hoping it wouldn’t happen so I hadn’t gotten to the store yet) which did nothing. But the panting went away after about two hours again. Today (Thursday), she started panting again, peed under my desk, and was antsy. I tried to give her some CBD oil in food, and she just tried to bury the food. I finally got her some in shredded cheese, but she was still panting for about an hour.

I am going to reach out to my vet again along with some trainers who have known her since she was a puppy (who know her personality), but I wanted to see if anybody else has experienced this seemingly sudden onset of anxiety in their Shiba!

Thanks in advance! Dog tax included!
