Velka 3.0 heat melting the riser cable

Hey all! Run into a problem and I'm hoping someone might have some ideas on what to do next.

I've put together a little PC in a Velka 3 litre case with an ASRock B550M-ITX motherboard and the Zotac RTX 4060, using the riser cable Velkase sells with their cases. What I believe is happening is the heat from the SSD is affecting the plastic of the riser cable. When the computer is running it starts to smell like hot plastic to the point everyone around is noticing. Someone even complained it's irritating their throat. This is happening even when the GPU is running at normal temperatures around 65 degrees, and doing the old risky touch-test the cable is hottest right near the SSD which is installed next to the PCIE slot on this MOBO. Does anyone have any guidance on how to prevent this? Or, barring that, a small case that will allow me to set up a mini ITX mobo with the GPU plugged directly into it.

I appreciate any help!
