Anyone else genuinely hate where they live / the culture of where they where born?

Maybe it's just because it's winter in Canada and it's -20 outside, but lately I just feel like I hate that I was born here and wish my ancestors never came to the 'new world'. I think would have been so much happier living in Europe, even if it meant not being as materially well off, the infrastructure and the intangible things would have been worth it. I just hate most Canadian cities, and honestly would much prefer to live in another place. Honestly I would be fine with the USA annexing Canada cause at least that way I could move somewhere with affordable housing and a milder climate.
