Help me give Lullabies another go
I'm going to be honest with you all so please do not downvote me into oblivion. I have been a fan of Queens for about 10 years now and I have absolutely struggled to find it in me to listen to Lullabies to Paralyze. I have every other album on CD, just not that one. I've heard a few songs from it, not in a long time now but I have heard them, and it just didn't click with me any time I humored it. It's a pretty dramatic shift from Songs for the Dead, but that makes sense considering Oliveri left around that time. I also think the artwork around this time is not really anything exciting at all, it just all kinda feels blah.
I want to give the album another go (again it's been years since I have tried) but I want to go into it with the right mindset, so I was wondering if anyone could give me some personal insights/context on how you feel it fits into the Queens discography and maybe what things about it I should pay attention to rather than hyper focusing on how the sound and lineup changed.
