Who was your first Pokemon?

This was kinda inspired by another post asking what console was the first one you used. It made me think about the first time I played back in like 4th grade. Ya I’m getting kinda old. Probably about a year after Pokemon first released and I got a blue gameboy pocket with Pokemon blue. I used to play WoW too and just like Pokémon I kind of went with the game are and I picked Squirtle. I remember in the elite four I had trouble with Venusaur and had to teach at fissure and hope for the one hit KO.
