Does anyone have suggestions on an electric keyboard that can sound like any keyboard percussion instrument?

Not sure exactly how to word that question. Basically, I'm in a community band that's just getting started, and we have no budget/storage space for a xylo or marimba or anything. However, the director wants the keyboard percussion parts played somehow. Is there an electric keyboard that we could hook to an amp and play while the band is playing? Or maybe there's an instrument that can be played like a xylophone but can sound like many different keyboard percussion instruments?

EDIT: Thanks for suggestions so far! Though I want to be more clear on the budget of my group. We can maybe spend a few hundred dollars. I'm perfectly fine with a piano keyboard that can sound like a xylophone because I know that things like the Xylosynth are way out of budget for us. I'll keep those suggestions in mind for the future though!
