Advice for OBS Streaming Live Event

Hey, everyone!

I work as a professional videographer and am slowly getting into the world of live streaming. My first livestream will be a powerlifting event. Looking for advice on really anything that you think would be valuable for me to be aware of.

Here are some more details:

  • We will have four different cameras - they will all be running through an ATEM Mini Pro ISO switcher.
  • Three of the cameras are focused on the athletes lifting. Two are stationary on tripods; one is connected through wireless Hollyland HDMI, which will be operated by a videographer with gimbal tracking athletes before they come on the platform
  • A fourth camera is set up for athlete interviews between their sessions. Audio will be coming from Rode Reporter mic through an H4n Pro field recorder directly into camera
  • There will be a fifth camera that is a webcam directed to commentators sitting at the computer
  • Audio will be taken from commentators, and audio will also be taken from one of the cameras filming the athletes, but obviously, we will be lowering the dB for that mic
  • Any settings to be aware of? Anything obvious that can improve the aesthetic of the stream that I shouldn't miss? Any technical considerations?

Thanks so much! I know there's a lot of moving parts here.
