New potential rider

Hi everyone! I’m looking to get my motorcycle license hopefully by the end of the year and then a motorcycle either by the end of the year or beginning of January.

I’m not well versed in motorcycles so I don’t know what to look for and what I should avoid.

I’m 5’3, F, and 140lbs currently but my weight keeps going down.

I was looking at the ninjas mainly, I want a sport bike and was looking to buy one used on FB marketplace. Max I’ll spend is $5000.

I’ll also need some recommendations on gear.
