Graphics Tab Lockup Megathread!

as of the last 8 hours something apparently changed causing many to experience the game crashing when trying to click on the graphics tab in the options menu then receiving error code 0x000001 cc048c24c0 8425941 0xc0000005 https://i.imgur.com/rxHLuHp.jpg

many have tried scanning and repairing install as well as deleting a certain folder with no luck https://support.activision.com/community/s/question/0D54P00007suuhoSAA/at-the-the-start-up-menu-it-runs-fine-once-i-go-into-the-wz-menu-the-game-crashes-and-gives-me-error-code-0x000001-cc048c24c0-8425941-0xc0000005
