Upping my step count is a game changer

2 weeks ago I decided I would like to up my daily step count to 10k, since I started feeling sedentary even though I lift at least 3 times a week. And I finally broke my plateau! I´ve been focusing on food the last few months, which helped with bloating but did not contribute to weight loss as much as I hoped.

What I realised is, my water weight fluctuates quite a bit, which made tracking harder. I had to be smart about it. One time the scale went up 5 pounds in one day lol.
I am a woman and depending on where I am on my cycle weight can flactuate so what I´ve been doing is comparing my weight from month to month depending on what phase I was in. I would still weigh myself almost daily but rather than comapring today´s weight to yesterday´s, I would look at my weight a month ago. Does it make sense?

And today I am supposed to be in the phase in which you hold more water weight but still I weigh less than last week and last month so for the first time in maybe 2 months, I can say for sure I´ve lost fat and not only water weight. And I´m pretty sure it´s due to walking 10k lol. I just looked up for the first time how much calories you burn walking this many steps and it amounts to 300-400 kcal on average?? What I found even more interesting is that it doesn´t affect your hunger levels as much as running or a HIIT workout.
