GameGuard error 122 when attempting to launch Helldivers 2
On Arch, fully updated at the time of this post (2025-02-03). CPU is R5 7600X, GPU is 7700 XT, KDE Wayland.
Whenever I attempt to launch the game, it gives me this message then exits.
Things I've tried so far: reinstalled the game, deleted compatdata/553850, removed all launch options, tried Proton versions GE9-23, 9.0, 8.0, 7.0, deleted the bin/GameGuard folder, uninstalled and reinstalled GameGuard (ran gguninst.exe and GGSetup.exe through Protontricks), moved Steam Linux Runtimes to same drive as the game, tried using steam-native-runtime instead of steam.
According to Arrowhead, "[t]he error code you are experiencing means that for whatever reason, GameGuard failed to authenticate." The solutions they gave me were unhelpful as they were Windows specific. Any ideas? Proton log is linked here.
