12.5 Week Update
I’ve been officially done lengthening for 2 weeks now. Feels great to be done with the limb lengthening process. Currently in the consolidation phase. My doctor has told me it should take 1 month from when you’re done lengthening to have the green light to walk unassisted. The process of limb lengthening has undoubtedly been the hardest physical thing I have ever when through in my entire life. I’ve never broke a bone or had any cosmetic procedures done. But the big question is “was it worth it” although I still can’t fully enjoy my new height since I’m walker bound I can say it has been worth it. Towards the beginning due to the physical and mental pain I had some regrets, but now that I’ve pushed through all of it I can certainly say it was all worth it. The recovery sets you in genuine constant pain. Today marked the first day that while resting I’ve had zero pain or discomfort on my body, which says a lot as it took 12 weeks to reach this point. I feel amazing about my height and cannot wait to be walking unassisted in 2 weeks and enjoying it 100x more. Stats: Age 19, Bilateral Femurs, precise 2.2.
