Plumber did a snake and camera inspection, and then screwed up the entire sweage system. What can I do?
Tdlr: I called a plumber on Yelp to figure where a leak near the kitchen was happening. He then did a snake and camera inspection, and ended up clogging kitchen sink and causing sweage backup in my bath tub and toilet.
What can I do? I'm asking a few more companies to come look at the problem. Can I file against a claim to him using either my insurance or small court claim?
More details: To his defense, he said that's because my pipes were too old (house built in 1955) and there were already backup.
However, everything was still functioning until he came. He now said we need to replace an unknown number of pipes to get the system back up, with an unknown time frame. Right now my tenants have to stay in a hotel, which i have to reimburse.
