5 most Phenomenal Bands to Ever Exist in the 70's
I was born in 78 but I'm also a multitanted musician. The 5 bands that inspired my interest in guitar, bass, steel guitar, piano, mandolin, banjo, and drums were first Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Grateful Dead, and Rush. If I were to add a 6th it would be YES. This just speaks for the 70's. You could say the Beatles are all 60's but I had to include them. They set a foundation for a lot of bands and Abbey Road and Let it Be were right on the brink of the 70's. Jimmy Page, Jerry Garcia, Alex Lifeson, Davis Gilmour, John and Paul, and Steve Howe. The best of the best guitar players in the 70's IMO. Seen all these bands except The Dead, Yes, and the Beatles. Floyd in 94, Page and Plant 98, and saw Rush 3 times. Test for Echo tour, Vapor Trails and Feedback tour. Just am grateful for the music they have gifted us with and the the showmanship they have presented. I think my favorite band out of all of them is Pink Floyd but right on the edge of Zeppelin. Phenomenal music. Hope this thread inspires people to follow them. They deserve it
