Pelvic PT and Dilators

Hi to all my hyster-sisters. I wanted to just share some positive things here as I know we can sometimes get overwhelmed with the negative.

First, if you have access and the financial means/insurance coverage for it, I highly recommend pelvic floor PT. I am privileged to have mine covered and to have found an incredible practitioner, but I'll still say it's a game changer. I had pain during intercourse before the surgery due to hypertonicity. Couple that with a history of SA and medical trauma, my pelvic floor was struggling. My PT has helped me work miracles and I have had so much less pain and tension. 100% recommend.

Second, my PT encouraged me to look into Dilators and using them at home to help with that aforementioned pain and tension. My vagina is tight as a steel trap and not in the fun way. To say that dilators have helped me is an understatement. I feel like I've reclaimed personal power with them. I was able to find a representative of the VWell company on here (through r/vaginismus) and acquire a set of their dilators. I will recommend them because they are really, really amazing. Soft, comfortable, and easily washable with a size range that isn't too intimidating. Also, I'll just say dilating in general seems to be something us vagina havers can use to truly change our entire physical outlook with. Big claims, but I've experienced it and read so many testimonies to be similar.

Anyways, if you have any questions about this stuff, feel free to DM. I wish all of you the best on this journey into a hopefully much brighter, pain-free future. ❤️
