Used Aeron smells bad

Bought this Aeron off of Facebook today for $320. I love it, but it has a really strong/bad smell lingering on it. I cleaned the whole thing, and even drenched it all it enzyme cleaner but the smell just won’t go away. Anyone have some suggestions? Is it stupid to ask if I could take it outside and wash it? Any advice would help thanks.
