How often do you see luxury bags in the wild?
I work in New York City, and after I found this sub, I realized how rarely I see higher end designer bags ($1000+) when I’m out and about. The exception would be the Goyard St Louis tote, which I do see sometimes on commuter rail (not the subway). But otherwise, during the week most people seem to be carrying backpacks or non-descript totes.
They do seem to come out a bit more on weekends, although primarily with tourists. Last weekend I was out and about almost all day and making a concerted effort to check out every bag that I saw. I only identified six: the four in the photo (just for reference): Loewe tan flamemco, Chanel black woc, BV black cassette, BV chalk parachute bag; and then a LV bucket bag and what looked like a small YSL bag that was partially obscured under someone’s coat.
My question for you: where you live, is it common for you to see someone carrying a luxury bag?
