Surgery with a toddler

I finally am scheduled for surgery on Tuesday!

I have a 15 month old daughter that will obviously be cared for by my husband surgery day & the following day.

My husband does service work and can have some flexibility in his scheduling. This is great as I am sure I will need help for a few days!

My question to the toddler parents out there: How long did you feel that you needed help for? When were you able to pick up your child and resume daily caretaking?

I’m a SAHM so my daughter is use to me putting her to bed, doing naps, etc. I am a little worried as to how she will tolerate my husband stepping in as she sees him as the “fun” parent and refuses sleep for him haha.

PS, it’s my first surgery so I have no idea what to expect! Quite terrified if I’m being honest but trying hard to put a brave face on!
