Is this a fern?

This was covering a rock face in Shanklin Chine, Isle of Wight UK. It felt ‘ferny’, not slimy at all (so much shine in the pic). I didn’t think to take a pic of the back of the frond. In the 2nd pic, I am not sure if there is a 2nd fern species, or maybe the immature frond of the first plant?
