What’s the future of FEMA with this administration

I’m currently working with the DoD and have received a promotion offer from FEMA, which has always been my dream job. However, I recently saw the president criticizing the agency during his visits to North Carolina and LA. He has expressed a desire to dismantle FEMA and shift disaster response funding to the states. This concerns me and makes me hesitant to accept the offer.
