Maddie and the watermelon

I was scrolling through this sub and randomly thought back to this scene from dance moms where they played the watermelon game and Maddie ended up hurting herself. None of the other moms believed that Maddie hurt herself and instead thought she was lying because she didn’t win. Similar to when Kenzies foot was hurting during the hiphop routine and the moms thought she was lying because she was afraid she would do poorly.

So my question is do the Ziegler’s have a consistent pattern with faking injuries or was this just another case of the moms taking any opportunity they could to verbally attack the Zieglers?
