One last problem for winter riding to solve…
I’m almost there. Temps are -3 to 4C. With merino wool base layer, gore windshield bib, jacket, and gloves and a skull cap I feel almost down right toasty.
Except the feet. Had some wool socks. Neoprene toe covers. Bout 45m in they froze over. I have a full boot covers I may try next ride.
But I feel like they may not enough. I was just doing 1/2 trail 1/2 road. No way I could have done a descent or a full road day without my toes going to ice.
Any tips to close the loop and be able to cold weather ride for a couple of hours at least?
