Quick question about non-lethal weapons.

Hey, Loving the game now a days. But quick question. The game used to say when you hover over weapons that it was non-lethal if it just knocked them out. Though as of late it doesn't say it anymore. Just made a bat to see and yeah, doesn't say non-lethal. But, if I preview it it mentions non-lethal. Same with the big hammer I found, so is this how to tell now a days? If so that's fine, just an odd choice to change it.
