*New Feature* Pay Anyone Groups - simplify shared expenses

What is Pay Anyone Groups?

Pay Anyone Groups are a new feature at Chime designed to make managing shared expenses simpler and more transparent. Members can create private groups to track and manage shared expenses, such as:

  • Rent
  • Utilities
  • Groceries
  • Group vacations
  • Any other shared expenses

How does it work?

Once an expense is added, Pay Anyone Groups provide a clear overview of what each member owes, along with a full history of expenses and payments to ensure transparency. Members can manually add expenses, select which group members are involved, and add a due date. Chime automatically tracks these expenses and sends reminders at specific intervals to help everyone stay on track.

Things to know

  • Limited to only Chime members, with a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 10 in a group
  • Group members cannot be added or removed once the group is created, but members can leave the group
  • If left unpaid, expenses will automatically expire 60 days from the date of creation or due date
