Another FIRE review for the sub!
Went to FIRE (in the old Roister spot) this weekend and wanted to report back!
At $115 for a tasting menu, I’ve got to say I think it’s a great deal. Current menu has a lot of seafood, they were great about accommodating someone at our table with a shellfish aversion. I did the wine pairing and found it really enjoyable. I’m also not a dessert wine person, but even that was a perfect pairing with the ember ice cream.
Standout dishes for me were the sachetti (so delicious) and the ember ice cream — the texture was great and the smokiness was the perfect finish. I also typically avoid mushrooms but the maitake was outstanding (the coating of black garlic was delicious).
Lots of great showy presentation at each course and all the servers, chefs and som that stopped by our table were informative and friendly and made it a really delightful experience. I left full and happy.
Definitely curious to see how they continue to develop this concept, and will go again when the menu changes.
