Book Fishing Ahead of Trip or Better Deals at Marina?

Going to Cabo in Feb for some sportfishing. I've heard it's cheaper to just go down to the marina and haggle for a trip the day before. Is that the best option? Most boats I'm seeing online are about $700-$800 for a full day of fishing.
