We've all been talking about Rogue Legends as the big topic of the update, but what do you think of the new map?
Personally, I think the map looks amazing. Compared to most (if not all) of the older maps in the game, and even compared the newer maps, this map looks insanely good. It is comparable to (or even exceeds) the absolute best map editor maps, which is a great accomplishment given how creative and talented some people in the map editor community are.
In terms of gameplay, the map is also pretty fun. It forces you to build your defense in the small land space in the middle, which makes for some fun strategies. The difficulty is more comparable to an Intermediate map than an Advanced map since I'd consider it to be easier than Chutes, which is the hardest Intermediate map, in my opinion. But either way, it was fun. It is at least much more of an Advanced map than Ancient Portal, which was basically like a beginner map in disguise.
My winning strategy for my Black Border was a Sauda start into Arcane Spike and Stronger Stimulant, built straight into Archmage before round 63. Then I built double discount villages (one 402, the other 022), a 502 Bloon Solver with its own alch buff, and then 205 Final Harmonic with nine 002 Mermonkeys to buff the range.
Round 78 was probably the sketchiest round since the track length and the tower space perfectly lined up for the wave of camo ceramics to be directly underneath a fortified (maybe regular, I can't remember) BFB when they hit my defense, which made the wave much harder.
What are your thoughts on the map?
