Burton not comin out to play

Hey, i was trying to do the Case of Wainright Jakobs mission, got to the part where you're supposed to revive Burton after killing the buggy guys. But, he's just stuck behind this black wall thingy. I tried fast traveling to sanctuary, restarting the game etc. Nothing really worked? I dont know of a way to reset progress as im in base game and not tvhm.
