Cats destroying new cushions

So looking good for advice… have a key west boat that I replaced with all new cushions last year. My neighbor has two outdoor cats that are getting in my boat and clawing the cushions and it’s driving me up the wall. I have good relations with the neighbor but things are going to go south if this doesn’t stop. Do you all have any suggestions on how to keep the cats away from the boat?? Any deterrent?

I keep the boat covered with a sealskin cover but there is a 6in gap in the back when tightened. Also if it going to fish in the am, I’ll get the boat ready the night before. then since the cats suck, I’ll drape the cover back over the boat console in the evening only for the darn cats! I’m over it and the additional hassle for cats wandering the neighborhood.

Curious if you all have any suggestions.
