How do you find the width of the unshaded rectangle?
The answer key just states that the area of the unshaded rectangle is 5cm x 7cm. What I don’t get is how that 5cm was derived in the first place. This is a 4th grade math question and unless I’m missing some principle I’ve forgotten, I’m stumped on the logic required to find the width of the unshaded rectangle.
