What’s wrong with me?

I’m a middle aged woman and super lonely. I think I’m friendly and have had an interesting life, yet I don’t have many friends. When I think I have a friend, they seem to disappear. I have tried to chat with ppl online, but they ghost me after a few days. Am I just going to turn into an old lonely lady, as I’m afraid to get close to anyone, because they will leave me…?
