Random reboots on new laptop? Tried everything

Got the laptop about a month ago, the first couple of days there was issues with the cursor but i think it’s unrelated. Around 2-10 minutes after starting it will randomly restart (and repeats), but never on a performance intensive application like a game. Everything is up to date, the computer isn’t overheating, the ram is fine, and I turned off automatic restarts but it still happens. The event log does not give much info either, it says it’s a critical kernel error and that it shut down incorrectly. 99% sure it’s not a virus. I think it might be an issue with the PSU but I don’t know why since it’s brand new
