[advice needed] I inherited some watches: help me pick one
Hi everyone, i'm not a watch guy. Let's start with this. I had a swatch as a kid, then all I had is an apple Watch and a mechanical Fossil I paid like 100 EUR and I thought it was a good watch.
Now, long story but I inherited some watches from someone I didn't know, and I do not have any attachment to these watches nor to the person to whom they belonged. I decided therefore to sell them, and to only keep one.
A friend of mine is kinda into watches, not an expert by any means, but he watches videos etc. and he said that these are all nice watches. He told me it's better not to send pics to any shop, especially of the documents of the watches, and he pointed me to an honest dealer that can buy my watches. He also suggested I keep at least one "as a memory", even if I'm not attached to these, they kind of marked an event that changed my life.
So, I decided to keep one, even if I'm not sure whether I would actually wear it or not. He helped me draft a list of all of these, with a rough idea on the prices, and he explained some of the basics about these watches, what they're for, etc. The result is: I don't care, and as for the price, it doesn't matter which one I keep. So I want to choose only based on how I like the watch and whether I may decide to wear it in the future.
Here are the contestants and the year they're from.
- Rolex 14060 (1999)
- Rolex 16613 (1993)
- Rolex 6265 (1982)
- Rolex 18238 (1996)
- Zenith Elite 670 Square (2000)
- IWC Ingenieur black (1985)
Now, of all of these, I particularly like the Rolex 16613 because I like that blue colour and because I was born in 1993. However, I'm a very simple guy, and I don't think I would ever wear a gold watch. I also like the Rolex 14060 as an alternative, but may be a bit "boring" compared to others.
Which one would you keep and why? I'm not interested in the value, just in what i could wear or like. are these all the same quality?
