SK6812 Bullet Pixels for Permanent House Lighting
Good evening everyone. Currently planning a permanent Christmas/accent lights on my house. Plan to mount pixels in J-channel pointing down flush with the bottom of my fascia board.
I really want a dedicated warm white channel. RGB white always looks off to me, and I think we will probably have a preset for lighting the corners of the house in white when not doing a holiday/sports color show.
I’ve found SK6812 bullet pixels that are individually addressable and not grouped in 3s in 12v, but I can’t seem to find anyone who has documented using them. I’m working on a two story and will be renting a lift so really won’t be able to do maintenance replacing pixels all the time.
Anything wrong with this style in general I should know about? I plan to order a string to try mounting options/see how they look first, but I appreciate any insights into longevity or overall opinions before ordering a test strip. I don’t really like the “cone” of pucks I’ve seen, but may try those pending opinions on these. Thanks in advance!
