Ireland compared to Iceland

I’m posting this here instead of an Ireland sub because I don’t want to offend anyone, plus I’m interested in hearing only from people who have also been to Iceland.

We had an incredible trip to Iceland last summer. This coming summer we’re planning our first trip to Ireland, but as I’m looking at videos of “must-see” places and scenery, I hate to say it, but it looks like a much less impressive version of Iceland.

I know there is a ton of Irish culture in the cities and villages, but I’m talking about landscape and hiking. I’m worried we’ll be a little underwhelmed since Iceland is still so fresh in our minds.

I was wondering if anyone has been to both, and can tell me if I’m way off on this? TIA!
