Pretty girl struggles aren't pretty girl struggles, they're just misogynistic issues all women face.
I thought of this after recently getting a tiktok about a woman saying "pretty privilege" doesn't exist because pretty women are treated so bad by men. There's a lot of women, on this sub and on social media in general, who talk about how being pretty can actually be a curse- the main points being sexualisation, being bullied, not having friends and being treated badly by men. This frustrates me to no end, because it is not a "pretty girl curse" it is something all women go through, and part of is frustrated that they seem to think women who are not conventially attractive go through life seamlessly. These are issues all women face, being treated badly by men and the like is not exclusive, and never will be, to pretty women. These are misogynistic issues all women go through, and I'd even go as far as arguing by saying these are pretty girl issues, you are indirectly feeding into that misogyny by implying unconventially attractive girls don't go through these things.
