Interesting eviction at an extended stay

Posting old stories from my alt u/BillieJackson to my main. This is somewhere around 7-8 years old.

This couple was always on something, or at least it seemed that way. And they didn't stay with us very long, considering the fact they were at an extended stay hotel. Maybe a week and a half is all? (And housekeeping only enters a room once a week. Guests can swap linens at the desk if they need.)

They were constantly late on their rent (going day by day, not taking advantage of the week to week discount), and they were always smoking right outside the door, drinking in the parking lot, and we suspect they were the ones that were dumping their cigg butts in scattered piles all over the sidewalk NEXT to the trashcan. Big piles that seemed to be multiple packs worth at a time.

We finally had enough and locked them out of their room. Even if they could pay us, they were HOURS late as it was, and we didn't want their business anymore. But of course they were not "home" all day and it would fall onto me (the one that lived on property and took care of after hours stuff) to deliver the bad news.

Gawd I hate confrontation. And I would end up doing it alone if it got late enough. shudders

Well, when I went to lock the keys out that afternoon I went into the room to make sure windows were locked, and that nothing was dangerous. Would you know it? They moved in one of those old school boxy projection TVs in there! Had cat stuff (litter box food dishes, toys and bells, etc. we are not pet friendly) all over the room, and the rest of it was all decked out in incense, framed photos on the walls and shelves, their OWN curtains instead of ours (which were in the bathroom in a heap under the sink). There were two bookcases in the corner of the room next to the bed. The setup was crammed behind the end table. They fricken MOVED IN in just a week.

And they didn't even show up all night either. They couldn't pay so they just didn't show their face until the next morning when they COULD pay and my GM, Papo, got the pleasure of telling them to go kick rocks and I didn't have to. Took them another 3 days to get their stuff out too!

Edit: didn't see the cat in the end
