Why can’t I stop watching this godawful show 😭
My two most irritating plot points of season 4 so far: (spoilers I guess)
Helen and Dana Sue, two grown women in their forties, being genuinely upset with Maddy for planning the wedding surprise with her family because they wanted to go dress shopping with her and help plan. When she says she understands their upset (far more generous than I would be if my friends pulled this shit) they continue to be mad and reiterate their points before finally “forgiving” her I can’t even 😭
They open the restaurant to feed the town after the storm. Do they make a big vat of eggs, sausages, home fries, soup to feed all these people? No, they take individual orders in an understaffed and still-learning kitchen, then the townspeople get mad because the FREE food is taking to long???? And the point of this all is…Cal is such a hero that he exhausts himself with helping, but it doesn’t occur to him or Eric to do something more easy and simple to help the town? Make it make sense!
I complain to my husband about this show every night and always end with, “Of course, I’ll need to finish the season. I don’t know why but I’ll watch it.” 😭 Bless my heart I guess!
