Any tips for a new player?

Hey! I just started to play on my tablet and as you can tell I’m kind of noob here. Any tips?

How easily how to find the houses? And is there any differences between pc version and mobile? Plus discovery thing kind of small so what else I can do when I’m waiting to water my plants and when energy is low?
