Washington resident maybe moving to Austin, TX

Currently living and working in WA and have been looking into texas as family is living there. Was interested if anyone on this sub works in the greater Austin area for info/advice. I currently have nicet 2 in sprinkler and fire alarm, getting close on fitter journeyman, with experience with pumps, standpipes, backflows but have only been in the industry for a little 3 years. For starters, pay rates and reputable companies would be very helpful as well as any additional certs i might need in TX. Feel free to DM if preferred.
