Travel - Skillbridge employer wants me to travel
I have a skillbridge opportunity lined up that will transition to my actual employment. That said, the actual employment requires a lot of travel, some of it will be out of the country and some is to countries identified as hazard zones.
I figure CONUS and international travel is ok pending commander's approval and if I do the same pre-reqs I'd do if I were traveling on leave (APACS/Security Manager notification etc...). I wouldn't be AWOL because I am traveling on behalf of the employer for my skillbridge - I'd be at my place of duty.
The dicey part is international travel to hazard zones. Its a tech company that works with the military servicing a lot of US bases overseas. So I'd be a servicemember traveling to US installations on behalf of a civilian entity in a non-military capacity.
Anyone else seen something like this before?
